Jubilee Furniture weekly update post for Thursday, October 13, 2016

Hello! I took these two photos last night as I was leaving the store (I was standing by our front door looking out into the parking lot). You can see the lot looks like a construction zone - because it is! Haha! Work is underway adding "islands" and improving the ones we already have. But, fear not, we'll be open our normal hours during the construction (just be extra careful).

And then - as always - I want to share some of our current inventory with you. Let's take a look!

this two piece sofa/chaise is covered in that soft micro-suede material and though there are some areas with wear - overall - in very good condition. Priced $225

lovely Ethan Allen floral loveseat - some wear on the arms - priced $155

two - two piece teak veneer storage/bookcases. Adjustable shelves. Last photo shows minor damage to one of the shelves (and maybe you could flip that shelf over and never see this?) otherwise in very good condition. Priced $65 for one set which includes the base and top shelving unit

Room & Board chair and ottoman - you can see wear on the ottoman and seat cushion. Priced $95

lovely muted gold sofa in very good condition - priced $195

Room & Board sofa - there appears to be some issue towards the back of two of the cushions when you sit down (they sink down further than they should). Minor? Structural? I'm not sure. Just be aware (all sales are final, remember). Otherwise in good condition - priced $295

this is a large and exquisite dollhouse! VERY dusty - everything needs to be cleaned. The decorative trim pieces on the outside edges of the house seem pretty fragile (as in a piece broke off when I touched it). Donor told me it lights up (though all of the room chandeliers have been removed). There's no furniture. Still a really beautiful piece! Priced $195

FANTASTIC leather recliner - some minor wear that enhances the piece (in my opinion) - priced $65

this fun sofa looks to be in mint condition! Priced $185

I can only guess the legs were taken off this black ultra-suede loveseat in order to remove it from the donor's home - but they're there! In good condition and priced $145

cool oversize chair covered with a leather/pleather (actually feels and looks like leather to me but I'm not 100% sure) SLIPCOVER (so removable). Black leather/pleather with dark green piping along edges. in very good condition and priced $95

great storage piece painted and "antiqued" - two middle drawers are fake (just the fronts). Some minor dings. Would be great in a craft room. Priced $55

wonderful wicker chair and ottoman - priced $75

neat old bookcase - with two deep adjustable shelves - priced only $20

these two tapestry side chairs are in pristine condition! They's amazing!
AND only priced $35 each! Woot!

okay - if you can figure out a way to make the one side of this RECLINING chaise (back reclines!) look finished on the one side that doesn't have an arm - then you will have a FANTASTIC piece of furniture! It's in excellent condition! AND priced only $45!

this leather loveseat has electric recliners on both sides. In good condition and priced $75

I'm very drawn to muted fall colors these days - and this Flexsteel sofa certainly falls into that category! In very good condition and priced $75

and then look at this sweet muted green velvet sofa! You can see on the side where it's faded but otherwise in good condition. Priced $45

generous sized leather sofa with wonderful nail-head trim! Some minor marks on the leather.
Priced $85

large IKEA storage unit - I saw some minor damage on one shelf (see second photo) - priced $75

Century Furniture Co. dining table (with leaves that pull out on both ends as needed) and six chairs. Really solid. You'll probably want to recover the seat cushions (not horrible - but some stains).
Priced $295 for the set

I came thisclose to buying this rocker! It's amazing! Seat ISN'T currently attached to the base (I was looking to see how easy it would be to remove so I could recover it) and it's pretty squeaky (can that be fixed?). VERY comfortable and it's just such a lovely wood and simple design! Priced $40

and then look at this FABULOUS dresser! It's a lovely sunny yellow color and pretty "distressed" but it's AMAZING! Three big drawers all open and all the hardware's there (though missing one screw). Best part? Priced ONLY $5! Yep - that's right ONLY FIVE DOLLARS!

I love the style of this West Elm sofa - very open and welcoming (can a sofa be welcoming? I think this one is! Haha!). Good condition though needs to be vacuumed and some minor wear on arms. Priced $145

lovely vintage Kunzelmann-Esser Co. five drawer chest - in very good condition. Priced $95

gorgeous Bernhardt chest of drawers in excellent condition for $155; matching nightstands - both have some wear on the tops but otherwise in good condition - priced $45 each

lovely Ethan Allen dresser with mirror - in good condition - priced $95

cool old dresser - has been painted and "antiqued" - but a neat piece - priced $75

wonderful round pedestal table with four rolling chairs - all in good condition -
priced $145 for the set

three Home Depot full length mirrors - have never been used (just need a good cleaning)
priced $5 each

two sweet old student desks! One is priced $18 and the other $20 (I'm not sure why the one is $2 less)

ON MY GOODNESS - this is a FABULOUS, VERY TALL (12'? Taller?) wooden ladder that would be amazing somewhere I just know it! Solid and sturdy! Priced $95

lovely one piece pine hutch for $55 - in very good condition

wonderful Asian inspired storage piece (stands about chest high) - a number of dings in the finish but overall a lovely piece of furniture! Priced $55

smaller IKEA storage piece to the one I showed you earlier - and there's damage
on one side - priced $35

I LOVE the way this Thomasville dresser and mirror are designed! Love that the mirror is off-set! Love the two inter-connecting ovals! In okay condition. Priced $55

if your goal is to buy the cheapest sofa and/or chair you can find - then today is your day!
Select pieces have been marked down to ONLY $10! Wow!

See you next week, dear reader! Thank you for stopping by! Take care!

Hi Jubilee, do you have any doors? Interior/exterior? Thanks!

Susan said...

No, Jessica - we don't. There's a Habitat for Humanity ReStore not too far from us located in Addison that does sell doors though. It's an amazing place to shop. Their inventory is 100% donated, like Jubilee Furniture, and though they do have some furniture it's all doors and windows and kitchen cabinets and hardware and paint and more! For addition information you can call 630.517.2080 or visit them online at Thanks for checking out the blog!
