I'm off this week but - boy oh boy - there should be some amazing furniture in the store!

Hi, dear reader! Though I am off this week - we've scheduled some super incredible donations to be picked up and so there should be some extra special things in the store that you should definitely check out! And that goes for both our Carol Stream AND Lombard store!

Speaking of Lombard - a few weeks ago I introduced you to Kandy Craig - our Lombard Store Manager. When I asked Kandy if I could snap a photo of her - this is how she immediately posed.

I took several photos and included a more typical headshot with my post but I love how this photo captures her wonderful sense of humor and the fact she approaches life with a smile. So, not surprisingly she brings that great attitude to the Lombard store and if you haven't stopped in and met her - you totally should!

I'll see you NEXT week with my typical photo heavy post! Take care!

Gosh - sorry so late getting this blog post up! Yikes! So busy!

Though last week's sale was a hit - inventory of  mirrors and décor (including dishes and glassware) is still high - so we're going to continue the 50% off sale of these items (with some exceptions).

We also have a selection of $5 lamps you gotta check out! (Well, technically you DON'T have to - but it could be worth your time!).

Additionally, there's simply TONS in the store that's worth a look/see. Remember, our addition is open (head up the ramp in what's formerly known as "bedroom land" and is turning into "dining room land" to access the "new" bedroom land).

What follows are photos of some of current inventory!

Walter E. Smithe floral sofa for $225 and matching chair for $95.
Both are in very good condition

a couple of weeks ago a donor told me she has an antique "tenants table" she wanted to donate - and I believe this is that table. She told me the table had drawers all around it where tenants would put their rent each month. Since this is a cool looking older piece and has drawers all around it - makes sense that this is it! Though I spied a few dings (note second to last photo) this table is stunning and in excellent condition! Measures: 39" round (from the pieces that bump out a bit) and is 31" tall.
Waiting on Ginger - our antique expert - to determine pricing but so cool I had to show it to you!

very nice leather loveseat - back cushions have pulled away along the seam and they've been repaired (last photo) but otherwise in very good condition and priced $145

very good (almost excellent!) condition sofa for $195

two matching fantastic side chairs - both are in excellent condition - priced $125 each

I think this 28" by 52' by 16" tall ottoman is INCREDIBLE!
In excellent condition and priced $75

H. W. Hull & Sons oak table (42" by 59") with two leaves (each 16" wide and photos show the table with both leaves in it) and EIGHT chairs (two with arms) for $425. Table is in exceptional condition and the chairs - overall - look good but they need to be cleaned up

very nice buffet for $185 - measures: 20" by 54" by 35" tall.
I love how simple, yet beautiful, this piece is!

excellent condition swivel rocker for $85

a little wear on the edge of the arm of this red micro-suede SLEEPER sofa but otherwise in very good condition (though you need to open the bed and check out the mattress - I did NOT). Priced $225

FABULOUS midcentury modern wood frame loveseat. Frame needs to be cleaned up but
overall in good condition and priced $145

Pottery Barn Kids SIX piece changing table, storage system. Each side piece separates into two pieces, then there's the middle changing table piece and then a "bridge" that connect the two taller hutch pieces so it looks like one kinda seamless piece! Priced $225 for the whole thing! Needs to be cleaned and a few touchups but overall in great condition! Measures: 6' across and is 19  1/2" deep and 75" tall

here's another red micro-suede sleeper but an oversized CHAIR (so opens to a twin size bed) this time. Again, some minor wear (and one spot - last photo) and again, check out the mattress
before you purchase (because I didn't). Priced $125

oh my goodness! Give me a good spiral or twist table leg and I'm truly in heaven! So needless to say, I'm absolutely IN LOVE with this Lane brand maple end table (27" square and 2' tall) for $195 and coffee table (42" square and 18" tall) for $295! So, so pretty! There is a dash of red paint? on the coffee table (last photo) and both pieces has a slight issue with the clear finish on top. It can only be seen from certain angles - but it's almost as if someone set wet plastic wrap on the tables and when they were removed there was a ghost of an imprint where the plastic had been. Sorry - that's the best way I can describe it. I snapped several photos trying to capture the blemish. Otherwise in excellent condition (and look at the scalloped edge on the end table - be still my heart!)

a few small places where the veneer is missing on this incredible MCM dresser but she's still fabulous! Priced $245 and there are also some marks on the top of the piece (fyi)

for anyone in need of an occasional extra twin size (I believe it would fit a twin size mattress) bed without it taking up precious floor space - this black metal "chair frame" is perfect! It's just the frame - you'll have to figure out a bendable twin mattress to fit it but the frame is only $40 - so worth it!

okay - if you can get the visual of this being a small coffin out of your mind (I'm sorry!) this is
such a cool piece! Measures: 21" by 49" and is 25" tall and priced $175

we'll end with this fantastic desk! Measures: 23' by 44" and is finished on all sides and in
very good condition and priced $195

Oh my goodness, dear reader - store is opening in 10 minutes and I'm just now finishing up this post! Sorry! Hopefully, there aren't tons of errors that I don't have time to correct!
