"Should auld acquaintance be forgot..."

Welcome! I hope you're doing well and the wild weather last week didn't cause too many problems for you! With nothing more than rain forecast this weekend - our store hours at both our Carol Stream and Lombard stores are as follows:

Wednesday (12/28) from 1 to 8 pm

Thursday (12/29) and Friday (12/30) from 10 am to 8 pm

Saturday (12/31) from 9 am to 1 pm

And then this week only we're taking 75% off all holiday/Christmas décor and 50% off  a sweet collection of bells which would allow you to ring in the new year on the cheap! Haha! The "Ring in the New Year" sale was Jean's idea and I thought it was absolutely perfect! 

Now let's take a look at some of our current inventory at the Carol Stream store:

this micro-suede loveseat is such a fresh, fun color! In excellent condition and priced $165

I'm going to show you a number of chairs similar to this one but this is the only one (I don't think there are more in the warehouse but I could be mistaken so double check if you like this style and want more than one) with the open arms. Beautiful rust color velvet chair in very good condition and priced $95

we have two of these brown velvet retro chairs out on the floor and like the one I just showed you - are priced $95 each. You'll see two other colors further down in this post. FYI

gosh I wish this GORGEOUS, mid-century modern, lighted, teak bookcase from Denmark - made by dyrlund - wasn't boxed in by a couple of couches so you could see it better BECAUSE IT'S STUNNING! Bottom doors are tambour style that are seamless and work perfectly. I really didn't see any issues (maybe a blemish on one side?). Measures: 16" by 47" and about 85" tall. I'm finding the same bookcase online selling for around $1,600 (but sold out). We're selling ours for $595. 

I predict won't last long at this price!

FINALLY - let's take a look at SOME of Carol Stream's current inventory!

Cafe Kid brand five drawer chest for $225 and two drawer nightstand for $55. I noticed one ding in the chest (third photo down) and then there are some marks on the top of the nightstand but 

otherwise these are quality pieces! 

full size black metal canopy headboard, footboard, side rails and canopy in excellent condition and priced $165. Excellent condition full size USED mattress for $125 (box spring sold separately and I forgot to note the price - sorry!). Can't you just imagine sheer curtains hanging from the 

canopy and how lovely that would look?!

Room & Board king size upholstered headboard with low footboard and side rails AND a large drawer that pulls out from the end. Here's the issue - the pull out drawer is missing the tracks on each side that would fit into rails on the sides. How easy would it be to repair? I don't know! Bed is from R&B's Avery Collection and you can see details here. This is the 64" tall headboard and it's the one with the drawer NOT the one where the bed lifts up (there's are two options with this bed). Retail price is $2,799. Jubilee Furniture price is $995 - that's almost 65% OFF retail price!

Gorgeous Stearns & Foster king size mattress in excellent condition for $188. 

Set of king size box spring are not for sale (we use 'em inhouse)

this is a STUNNING butcher block top island (is NOT on wheels so doesn't easily move) that's 31" by 50" and 35 1/2" tall. Stainless steel shelves on one side and then an overhang that fits two stools perfectly! Priced $375. I spied one or two stains on the top but otherwise in excellent condition. 

The two woven seat stools you see here are also in excellent condition and priced $60 for the set

it looks like Room & Board has discontinued offering this 96" sofa with reversible chaise from their Jasper Collection - so you might want to act fast if you want one! This one is new from their showroom floor BUT came to us without legs. We've added chucky wood legs that I think look fantastic! Upholstery is Tepic Haze. Retailed for $2,499. Our price? $1,795. Not cheap but this is 

BRAND NEW and still over $700 off retail price! 

Room & Board has given us some incredible things recently! Here's their Berin sleeper sofa upholstered in summer ivory! Opens to a king size bed! I saw a dirt smudge that (hopefully) should be easy to clean. I did NOT open this up so please do so if you're interested and make sure everything works! R&B clearance price is $2,999.99. Our price $1,195. That's 60% OFF the clearance price and almost 70% OFF retail price!
