I happened to stop and really look at the blog a couple of weeks ago and realized I hadn't updated the side bar info in forever! John Hilaire - our beloved Transportation Coordinator - moved onto another job several years ago and yet his photo was still up! Since we have a number of wonderful "new" people (since Bryan told me he's been working here almost four years - I'm not sure "new" is the correct word but bear with me!) who deserve to be showcased!
So, over the next few weeks I want to introduce to some of our team who you've probably seen around the store/warehouse for a while but who you might not know - and we're going to start with Bryan Moore!
Bryan is our Carol Stream Assistant Warehouse Manager and also drives the truck for donation pickups once every other week when Gary is off. As I was deleting the side bar that included some info about John - I'd written he's unflappable - and I'd actually say the same thing about Bryan! Bryan is one of those people who quietly goes about his business without complaining and is open to being interrupted if someone needs something from him. I've never heard him raise his voice or seen him get upset!
When I put Bryan on the spot and asked him if there was anything he wanted to share - after a brief pause - he told me he likes pina colades and getting caught in the rain..I was laughing as I walked away. That's Bryan!
Okay - now let's look at some of our current inventory in our Carol Stream store!
this is a beautiful, excellent condition floral sofa by Ethan Allen! Priced $195
I still really like these mixed fabric pieces! This sofa is also in excellent condition and priced $225
Tri-Bond Furniture bedroom set includes a dresser with mirror for $225; taller chest of drawers (bottom drawer is cedar with a "lid" you close over it to really protect your clothes) for $295 and then we have two nightstands and we're selling the pair for $80. The nightstands are in the roughest shape with several places on each that's missing veneer. Dresser and chest of drawers have some
minor dings but overall in better shape. I LOVE the black stain/finish!
these two mid-century modern pieces need some work - but I absolutely LOVE the design!

53" round pedestal table with glass top and four chairs for $375. There are some dings in the wood of these pieces and the four seat cushions need to be cleaned (or replaced). FYI
I don't remember if the same donor who gave us the Tri-Bond bedroom set gave us this cool piece too - but they probably did! Haha! High grain, black stained wood veneer is striking!
BUT needs a lot of work! Priced $115. Look at the unique hardware!

excellent condition side chair by Rowe for $175. This chair must have been placed in a corner and never sat on which is too bad because it's extremely comfortable!
sunny, muted yellow vintage sofa in very good condition (last photo makes the sofa look beige and it's not). Priced $225. Photo with price tag is best representation of the true color
man - we have a LOT of really excellent condition pieces right now - including this side chair for $145. Again, I left the price tag photo so you can see the pattern of the fabric
wonderful side chair with nail head trim - priced $75. In excellent condition
fabulous Ethan Allen muted floral chaise in...excellent condition (of course!) for $175
this is also in excellent condition - cool wood frame and micro-suede upholstered chair - BUT it sits low to the ground - very low - which might not be a big deal but be aware. Priced $125
we'll wrap up with these TWO matching sofas - both of them have recliners on each end. I'd describe them as in almost excellent condition - the only "issue" is the back cushions on one of them are a bit "saggy" (and as a 65 year old woman I don't use that word lightly - haha!). Priced $225 each
