If you see a white haired, old lady driving a 14' box truck either heading out to Elburn or coming back towards Carol Stream - you might want to steer clear! Haha! JUST KIDDING - I've driven the truck multiple times over the years and actually enjoy sitting up so high while I drive!
Why Elburn? you ask? Though that's pretty far for us to go for a pickup - a conference/retreat house is donating several trucks full of furniture to Jubilee Furniture! My favorite piece we'll be getting is a large stainless steel kitchen island/storage piece (rolling) but there so many other incredible things as well!
I don't know how quickly Connie and team will get things priced and on the floor - but there's going to be a lot - including a number of twin over twin AND twin over full bunkbeds; dressers, sideboard; daybed; antique three piece sectional and more! Here's the link for the retreat house if you want to take a peek inside. We're not getting everything but we're going to fill two trucks and yours truly is driving one of them (Why send an old lady? Because this is a special pickup ON TOP OF our regular pickups and we simply ran out of drivers! This donor has hired movers to bring everything out to the trucks - so I really don't have to do anything except not have an accident when driving! Fingers crossed - me, the truck and my cargo arrive back to the store intact!).
All this to say - I don't have much time - so have to be quick this morning! What follows are photos of a few things that caught my eye in our Carol Stream store!
I have got to take some time to figure out why my photos aren't fully being captured! Plus they're uploading out of order so I have to cut/paste them in the blog - which is a pain! Good grief! I'm sorry! This is a cool "bar" which measures: 16" by 47" and is 42 1/2" tall. There is some veneer that's peeling on one side but otherwise in good condition! Love the spot to hang wineglasses! Priced $125. Then we have TWO of these incredible small lamps with the glass and beaded shades - priced $25 each
set of four excellent condition white wooden bar stools - are 24" from floor to top of seat and they're priced $155 for all four. They're around the most gorgeous walnut table top we received from Room & Board (measures: 29 1/2" by 6' and is 30" from floor to table top) that Dick, our wizard of a repair volunteer, added hairpin legs to - and it's absolutely stunning! There is one crack (last photo) in the wood but, honestly, it just adds character! The table is priced $325 and though we have the bar stool pulled up to it - regular chairs would be the perfect fit!

I wanna buy this wrought iron, outdoor, rolling bar cart - but I have no need for it! Alas!

we'll end with this fun piece! Side table that's a stack of "books"! Each book is a drawer - so provides lots of storage AND looks great! In very good condition and priced $125
