Or maybe you're looking for a very specific piece.
Now would be a great time to stop by either our Carol Stream or Lombard location (or both!) to check out all the new-to-us pieces!
What follows are a few things that caught my eye at our Carol Stream store (but there's LOTS more!):
as always from Room & Board a GORGEOUS media cabinet! It's from their Cole Collection and though has a different base than the one in this link - retails for around $3,500! There is a small imperfection in the finish (last photo) and one of the slats is a bit loose (but not noticeable unless you try to open the door by the slat). Measures: 18" deep, 84" wide and stands 24" high. Priced $725.

fabulous Henredon golden color sofa in excellent condition and priced $325
Flexsteel three piece sectional - in very good condition and priced $425
two matching Room & Board chairs - some minor fabric snags on the side of one of them

In very good condition and priced $325
this Room & Board piece is shown on their website as designed as an OUTDOOR sofa! Sits low to the ground (I thought it would make an excellent piece for a child's play room). It came to us with a large rip in the back upholstery that one of our amazingly gifted volunteers repaired.
Retails for $1,600 - ours is priced $725
haha - I didn't realize how many Room & Board pieces we currently had! This time it's a white Emerson TEN drawer dresser! Retails for $2,399 and now I don't remember why it was donated! I vaguely remember some very minor marks on the top? In other words, in excellent condition and priced $1,199 (half the retail price)
oh be still my heart! Almost as much as I love everything from Room & Board - I love Heywood Wakefield retro furniture! Gorgeous wood. Unique style. Excellent craftmanship. We have a stunning bedroom set that includes: dresser with mirror for $195; nightstand for $65; taller chest of drawers for $225 and then TWO twin size (put 'em together and you have a KING!) storage headboards with frames that are priced $95 each. There are a number of rings on the top of
both the dresser and the nightstand. FYI
here's another very nice bedroom set! This time we have a seven drawer dresser with mirror for $195; five drawer taller chest for $145; queen size headboard, footboard and side rails for $225 and a two drawer nightstand for $50. USED queen size mattress in excellent condition is priced $355
we started with a Room & Board piece so seems appropriate to end with one! Haha! This time we have a KING size Parsons bed in a brushed chrome. It's too bad there's a mattress AND box spring on the bed since it's designed to just need a mattress and then you would see more of the modern, clean lined headboard. Retails for $1,999 and we're selling this one for $495. USED king size mattress for $275
And while you're in the area, dear reader, here are a number of other area resell stores: there are several Goodwills; Hidden Treasures; Twice Is Nice; Treasure House; and Stars Resale Shop. Since there are plenty of places to grab lunch - why not just make a day of it! Golly - I wish I could join you - this is my idea of heaven! Haha!
