It's the most wonderful time of the year! (Unless it's the most anxiety producing time of the year ON TOP OF 20 months of incredible stress for everyone - which I totally understand and I promise shopping at Jubilee Furniture can actually be relaxing, even fun and you should definitely try it!)

As if our "normal" store hours aren't confusing enough - with the upcoming holidays things are going to get even messier so thought I'd begin to prepare you now. 

Before I do - I want to mention the reason for our kinda weird hours are because we're staffed primarily with volunteers. We're trying to keep our overhead as low as possible in order to maximize the amount of money generated for Outreach Community Ministries. Though our volunteers try to make Jubilee Furniture a priority - there are times when other things conflict and they simply can't help at the store. Holidays are a prime example of when we often don't have the woman/manpower we need so then we have several options: open with a skeleton staff (and hope for the best!), open reduced store hours, or close the store. It's a tough call and one we know frustrates customers but it's our reality and we hope people understand. 

For the weeks of Christmas and New Year's - we've landed on a combination of all three options. Jubilee Furniture store and warehouse will be:

We have a sale this week that some might say make strange bedfellows. 

Of course those who would say that are simply looking for a cheap laugh and should be ignored. But seriously, we're marking down most (all?) of our Christmas merchandise and - for the first time ever - also taking 25% off most (not all) mattresses! We've NEVER had a mattress sale before (at least not that I remember). If you have out of town guests coming for the holidays now would be time to upgrade that inflatable mattress (your guests will be eternally grateful!). Haha!

Moving on - what follows are a FEW things that caught my eye when I was in the store last night. We have PLENTY more inventory. FYI.

we really have received some unique pieces over the last month and I LOVE 'em! We have two matching side chairs that are both in excellent condition and priced $195 each

I just went back two weeks in the blog to see if I've shown you this beautiful green velvet sofa before and I haven't (I have shown you OTHER lovely green sofas though!). 

In excellent condition and priced $255

okay - this Room and Board piece is a convertible sleeper sofa. Part of their Deco Collection and retails for $1,299. It all appears to be working (I had to sorta mash down the back piece to make it flat) and the seat upholstery really needs to be cleaned - just some general dust/dirt (I didn't see 

any spots or stains but rather looks a little dirty). Priced $525

Okay - this is a STUNNINGLY beautiful leather, nine piece sectional (six - armless pieces; two corner pieces and an ottoman). Armless pieces are 31" across the back; corner pieces are 35" by 35" and I didn't measure the ottoman because I didn't think it mattered. What the nine pieces mean is 1.) easier to move because none of the pieces are large and 2.) there are TONS of ways you can configure this! Made in Italy by Divani Chateua d'Ax for Carson Pirie Scott (sniff - I miss Carson's!) in 2007. Truly I could not find a single issue, scratch, mark ANYWHERE. You can see some slight indents in the seat cushions from people sitting but really super nice. I found a similar - but not the same - 

sectional here also by Chateua d'Ax which is on sale for $5,298.75! 

We're selling this gorgeous beauty for $3,750! Woot!

I thought this was a very nice chest - top needs some work but all the drawers open and close

southwest style, good condition sofa for $65. Matching loveseat wasn't priced yet and has small rip on one corner (last photo) but otherwise is in great condition!

Flexsteel muted floral sofa in very good condition for $95

Only Dearborn Provincetown Guarantees Bowling Pin Quality Maple - is what the manufacturer's label says! Haha! Love it! Measures: 18" by 35 1/2" and there are a couple of marks on the desk surface 

but otherwise in very good condition and priced $45

love the curved lines of this smoked glass sofa table - measures: 17" by 53 1/2" and is 28" tall. 

Priced $75 and in good condition

yes - the drop down desk part of this very cool antique secretary has lots of graffiti on it 

but otherwise it's such a pretty piece! Priced $195
