My 94 year old mother recently moved into a retirement community that's seven minutes from the store and I've gotten in the habit of dropping by to see her everyday after work (which is lovely since she used to be one hour away and I saw her only once a month).
The down side is since I now see her every day - I often don't have much "news" to share so have gotten in the habit of telling her lot about the furniture store! And she loves hearing it! Haha!
So, today when I stop by I'll share I updated the blog and that there are LOTS of wonderful things at both our Carol Stream and Lombard stores - and the following photos are just a few things that caught my eye when I walked through our Carol Stream store!

this is a GORGEOUS reupholstered three piece sectional that's in
excellent condition and priced $495
Room & Board light gray micro-suede swivel/rocker in very good condition and priced $225
this is a really cool desk! Glass top measures: 2' deep by 54" wide. Has three storage drawers on one side and it's in excellent condition! Priced $165 and it's completely finished on all sides
good condition black leather and chrome side chair for $125
very good condition Ethan Allen sofa for $225. I spied
one or two very faint spots on the seat cushions (fyi)
though this 98" Drift sofa is from Room & Board's outdoor collection - it would work just as beautifully inside!
Retails for $2,099 and we've priced this one $695 and it's truly in excellent condition (like so nice I can't figure out why R&B donated it to us!)
very nice, cream color velvet swivel/glider chair and glider ottoman - some minor spots but
overall in very good condition and priced $145 for both pieces!
there are two areas that have "issues" on this two piece gray leather/pleather sectional but overall it's super nice and very comfortable! Note the photos that show the wear/small tears. Priced $225
we have two of these Sam Moore Furniture chairs and I am over the moon in love with them! Seriously, if I had a spot - even for one - I'm buy them/it! In excellent condition and priced $85 each
St. James brand plaid sofa in very good condition and priced $85
we have two identical Smithe-Craft curved sofas and
both are in good condition and priced $165 each
it's funny - I was looking for a narrow and long desk just like this several months ago and ended up buying something from IKEA - and it's fine - but not a wood piece like this one! Measures: 23" by 70" with two pedestal support drawer bases (top lifts right off). There are nicks in the
wood but overall a very nice desk! Priced $95
I hope all is well and if you're lucky enough to still have your mom around - if you can't physically be with her - call or text her! It doesn't matter that you might not have anything particularly "newsworthy" to report - she's interested in anything that you're involved in!
