I'm back!

As promised (threatened? haha!), I'm back and I'll be resuming weekly update posts highlighting some of the current inventory at our Carol Stream store!

I could've taken one million photos since I haven't posted in a month - so, trust me, when I say what follows is the tip of the iceberg! Let's go!

extremely nice bedroom set from Pier 1 Imports! Queen size headboard, footboard and side rails for $395; USED queen size mattress and box spring for $295; two matching nightstands - one has some scratches on the top and it's priced $55 and the other is $65; clothing armoire - for $165

gorgeous oval glass table (42" by 69") with six chairs (two with arms) - this set is heavy!
In excellent condition and priced $295

fun cafe height table (what is it about these higher tables that automatically makes them fun?) - with two leaves and four chairs! Table measures: 3' by 70" and the leaves are each 13" wide. Some minor surface damage but overall in very good condition and priced $295. Note - the top is NOT
attached and there are screws taped to the top in a baggie (fyi)

ultra-suede with faux leather sofa for $125 and matching loveseat for $95.
Very comfortable but there are a few spots. FYI

extremely cool ADJUSTABLE metal - super heavy - stool for $35

excellent condition Ethan Allen sofa for $295

I think this is a steal - so I'm wondering if I missed something beyond the blemish on the corner in that last photo? This amazing piece is long (82" long to be exact) and 23 1/2" deep and 20" high and priced - drum roll please - only $45! Woot! NOT wood - some type of composite but very sturdy and the drawers are dreamy to open and close!

this is the first photos of some incredible Room & Board pieces we currently have in the store. This is a credenza that includes TWO file drawers (with hardware for hanging files) with two smaller drawers and a middle space with an adjustable shelf. In excellent condition and priced $995. I found this very similar piece on the R&B website that retails for $2,899 but our piece has a steel base/legs. FYI

be still my heart! This is a stunningly gorgeous dresser from Room & Board's Berkeley Collection. Retails for $3,599. There is a small divot in the top of ours (last photo)
but otherwise in excellent condition and priced $1,495

this is a USED Room & Board sofa from their Jasper collection. Retail price $1,999. Our price is $825. Beautiful gray velvet upholstery and I did spy a small spot or two

Vanguard Furniture lovely checked sofa in excellent condition and priced $85

here's another very long piece that I think is amazing! Measures: 12" deep by 7' long and
stands 25" high. Adjustable shelves and in excellent condition! Priced $295

though the colors might look different in these photos - I promise you these are matching pieces! Lovely ultra-suede loveseat for $250 and matching sofa for $295.
Both are in very good condition and are Bauhaus brand!

Okay - for this next series of photos I need to provide an explanation. We believe most of the following pieces are designed by Paul Frankl but there are no marking to verify that 100% - so we've labeling them "Paul Frankl STYLE." Here's a link to some info about Paul T. Frankl. I find stuff like that fascinating. If you don't - no problem!

Even without maker's marks or identifiers - Paul Frankl style of furniture is crazy expensive. I mean super, crazy expensive. Here are some links to help you understand how and why we priced our pieces as we did: pair of five strand, square pretzel arm chairs and ottoman for $3,676; sofa and chair set for $13,238; and this ONE five strand, square pretzel arm chair SOLD for $3,295. Gulp. Have I set the stage so when I share the prices you don't wonder if we've lost our minds?

Not all these pieces are in the Paul Frankl style - and I've noted when we know who the manufacturer is. All came from the same donor and all are in excellent condition! Amazing when you think they might be between 50 and 70 years old!

three piece Paul Frankl style sofa for $3,500

two, five strand, square pretzel chairs are $2,200 EACH

two tier side table (again, Paul Frankl style) for $225 (there is a crack in the bottom tier top)

we have two, Brown Jordan, open back, rattan shelving units for $575 each

wicker/wood dresser with protective glass - for $235

set of THREE Paul Frankl style nesting tables for $425

rattan coffee table with glass top for $125

small Paul Frankl style coffee table for $275

woven basket chair for $175

wicker side table for $195

just a few more shots of all the pieces. Mirror behind the dresser is just some
random mirror - though very attractive! - and priced $45

and just like that we're back to a USED Room & Board sofa - some minor spots - for $395

fabulous mission style wood rocker with leather cushions - so amazingly comfortable you will NOT want to get up! Puppy chew marks on the rocker edges! Priced $175

Broyhill brand sofa in excellent condition for $185
(I have RARELY met a plaid I did NOT love!)

very nice three drawer side cabinet for $75

Wow - did you make it to the end? Impressive, dear reader! Thanks for sticking with me while I took a break! See you next week!
