There's a marketing strategy where you ask your customer some type of follow-up question - "Would you like fries with that?" - that has surprisingly excellent results. I, personally, can attest this is true.
When I'm interacting with a donor and we've determined they have furniture we'd be grateful to accept - I'll often say, "Since we're coming out for blank (whatever furniture they're donating), if you have any decorative items, lamps, area rugs or artwork we accept these as well."
It works SO WELL, actually, that we need to clear some of it out! Haha! Jean and Joe (who handle all of our "smalls") have designed an incredible 50% OFF sale on décor, kitchenware (Jean said it you eat or drink from it - it's on sale), throw pillows and mirrors currently priced less than $50!
So, again, the decorative item, glassware, plate, throw pillow and/or mirror has to be < $50 and this Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday ONLY you'll get that puppy for HALF OFF! Woot!

we have two of these moss green side chairs - a few spots that need cleaning but overall lovely chairs! Priced $75 each. There's a pattern on the fabric on the seats only (fyi)
again, either these are a bonded leather or a faux leather - chaise is in very good condition and priced $95. Matching sofa has some issues (second to last photo) and is also priced $95
we'll end with this FABULOUS four piece modular sofa/chaise (ottoman can go on either end)! Measures: 39" from back to the end of the arm and roughly 114" long (I had a hard time holding the tape measure steady to be exact). Ottoman piece is 40" square. Pieces clip together so they shouldn't move around once secured. This is a lovely, sink into down cushion heaven and you may never get out - piece! In very good condition and priced $575
